Established in the year 1992, Rajarajeshwari dental college and hospital was started with only 40 students seeking admission in BDS course initially in a rented house measuring 40,000 square feet. However, with the passage of time and hard work of all the students and teachers, the college has achieved great heights of success in the past 30 years.
Today Rajarajeshwari Dental College and Hospital has become a full-fledged postgraduate dental institution in the country where 100s of students take admission in BDS ( Bachelors of dental surgery) and MDS (masters of dental surgery) courses. The college is recognized by DCI, Government of Karnataka, and Government of India and is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi institute of health and science, Karnataka
The college is located in a posh area and is stretched out over an area of a 5-acre campus on the Bangalore- Mysore highway at around 20 km from Vidhana Soudha. The lush green campus of the college had 3 lakh square feet of a modern building with facilities like special dental clinics, supporting lav's and classrooms, Residential accommodation for staff and students.
Rajarajeshwari dental college and hospital provides the facility of 1000 beds for the patients and the students are taught all the subjects related to Dentistry are taught to the students in order to achieve their goal of producing a human resource that proves to be an asset for the world and meet the national as well as the global demand of oral healthcare.
The college was established with a motive to provide quality education to all the students who are deserving irrespective of their social and economic background so that they inculcate moral values and a sense of responsibility in them as future doctors of the country and become ideal citizens.
The colleges hail under Moogambigai charitable and educational trust which was established by the former MP and MLA Shri AC Shanmugam who established this trust with the main aim of providing quality education to all the deserving students irrespective of the caste they belong to, the religion they follow or the background they come from.
Furthermore, the college provides the best quality teachers to the students for imparting the knowledge of the field so that they, not only become capable doctors but also responsible citizens of the country who are always ready to serve mankind with their skills and expertise, they show humanity towards the mankind and ultimately help the lower section of the society to love a dignity life with basic healthcare facilities.

As we came to know about the institute’s faculty from the students of the college we came to know that the teachers of the college are well supportive and understanding. Their way of teaching actually makes things look more easy and understandable. They regularly conduct tests at proper intervals to see whether the children have understood the concept or not, not only this but as a doctor also they take good care of their patients and have a friendly conversation with them whenever they see them having a hard time in hospital. Like this, they are able to establish a friendly relationship with not only the students but with their patients as well.
Some teachers of the college are so experienced that their lectures make the experience worth it to the students and that’s what the sign of a good teacher. It makes the environment at the college well suited for full concentration for the students to focus on their studies and not get distracted, this helps the students to show their full potential.
