Al Ameen Medical College at the historic city of Bijapur was established in 1984 by Dr. Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, the founder of Al-Ameen Movements. Dr Mumtaz Ahmed Khan is an extraordinary man with a great vision and passion to improve society. He believed in the power of education and making sure all sectors of the society had access to the best facilities for education.

Dr Mumtaz Ahmed Khan graduated from Stanley Medical College in Chennai and graduated from Madras University in M.S. The strive of Dr Mumtaz Ahmed Khan to shape and upgrade our society is incomparable.A humble and unassuming personality, he has made waves and created educational movements in South India with his strive and tenacity to ensure affordable educational facilities for all.

He has contributed immensely in the field of education, Healthcare and other sectors like banking. A recipient of several awards like Karnataka Rajyothsava award (1990), Kempegowda Award, Junior Jayees Award and Public Relation Society of India Award, he is well known for generosity and philanthropic nature. He is a true social reformer with the aim to spread affordable and quality education throughout the county with the Al-Ameen Education Society and Al-Ameen Charitable Fund Trust. The core of His dedication and strive has been transformed and seen in all educational institutions and learning centres from Al Ameen Charitable Fund Trust.

Education at Al Ameen College

Al Ameen college is the first Muslim Minority college with a full fledged teaching hospital affliated to it. Several schools and colleges including Arts, Science and Commerce colleges, Teacher Training Institute, Management Institution, Law College, College of Education, Dental College, Engineering College, Nursing School are also established through the Al Ameen Charitable Fund Trust.

Al-Ameen Medical College is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore since 1994, the College has been accredited by the Medical Council of India. The institution has begun postgraduate programmes in several medical science disciplines, also MCI-recognized. The management and personnel of Al-Ameen Medical College look forward to making the institution one of our country's top medical facilities.

EXAMS

  • All admissions are based on the results of the Central Board of Secondary Education's NEET examination.
