Bachelors of medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) is an undergraduate degree provided by many institutions across the world after which a student can be officially called a doctor. The student gains the knowledge and becomes eligible to treat any disease, prescribe medicine, and do surgery after obtaining the degree.
For taking admission to MBBS colleges across the country, the student needs to fill certain criteria and be eligible for giving the NEET examination which is a basic prerequisite. The admission procedure is based upon the rank secured by them in the examination. So let us talk about the basic eligibility criteria for appearing in NEET-UG examinations.
The whole procedure for taking admission in the MBBS course is through the entrance examination conducted by the national test agency. The procedure starts with the announcement of the date by NTA and all the candidates need to appear for the test since there is no provision for a direct entry route. As of 2021, the exams are most likely to be conducted in the month of September.

Before entering the field of medicine, it’s important to know what is the duration of the course since we must know when we will be getting our return on investment. so the total duration of the course is 5.5 years which includes a one-year compulsory internship. If a candidate does not complete his mandatory internship then he/she will not be getting the degree. So overall the academic course of the profession is of 4.5 years with a total of 9 semesters spread over these 4.5 years.
The total fees for the course vary from university to university. So if you get admission in a govt college then the fees would be lower. However for further reference please visit the college page once since as per the official norms and the guidelines issued by the medical council committee it is mandatory for all the medical colleges to announce their MBBS course fee details. The question paper consists of a total of 180 questions of 4 marks each which makes the total aggregate of 720 marks. The time provided for completing the paper is 3 hours including the reading time. With lakhs of medical aspirants desperately waiting for the announcement of NEET 2021 final answer keys and results of the all India UG entrance examination. Awaiting the completion of phase 2 of the NEET application and registration process, NTA is supposed to release the final answer keys and results at the earliest. Although with the release of the temporary answer keys, students can now predict their expected marks and plan accordingly.

After the declaration of the result, the candidates are allotted the seats based upon the preference that they have filled at the time of filling the application form. The students can view their allotted seats and download the form through the official website of the national testing agency.
The candidate then needs to report to the college in which he has been allotted the seat and needs to submit the original documents for the verification process. Unless the candidate has not submitted the original documents for verification, his admission would not be confirmed and in case he fails to do so then the college has the right to cancel his admission.
