The seats in the deemed and central universities are also open for students qualifying for the NEET 2021. Jamia Milia Islamia (JMI), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), and other colleges affiliated to Delhi University (DU) are some examples of such institutions. Similar to the AIQ, the DGHS is the counseling authority for these institutions. The counseling for these deemed and central universities will also be carried out on the online platform. If you want to apply for the MBBS or BDS courses in the same, you have to fill up a separate form of application for the central and deemed universities counseling when it is released by the DGHS.
The seats in the private colleges have become an amazing solution for most of the students suffering
from the dilemma of what to do after NEET. The domicile requirements for such colleges are not as strict
as the others and aspirants can apply to these seats in almost all the states they prefer. Regardless of
their domicile or state of residence, all candidates who pass the NEET 2021 will be applicable for the
seats in these private dental and medical colleges all across the country by simply filling up application
forms of the various state counseling authorities. Some private colleges reserve a certain share of seats
for the state quota for which only the students of that particular state can apply but otherwise, the
number of seats is large enough to accommodate all kinds of aspirants.
The counseling authorities conducting the counseling for the state quota seats will only conduct the
counseling for these private institutions. Some states might have started the process of an application
already, while others will release the state counseling applications after the results of NEET 2021 are

Apart from the seats discussed above, there are also MBBS and BDS seats in AFMC, Pune and some
reserved for the Insured Person (IP) wards in the ESIC institutions. The same counseling body for the AIQ
and central or deemed universities, the DGHS, will be conducting the counseling for the MBBS
admissions in AFMC, Pune, and other IP students applying for the ESIC college MBBS or BDS seats.
The students who qualify and are interested in the AFMC admission or the one under the IP wards quota
will apply for the respective counseling procedures on the DGHS website separately. For AFMC, Pune
will shortlist a few candidates after your application is complete through the DGHS. Then, there will be
other rounds conducted to do further screening for the examinations. Age, height, and other such
eligibility factors will be considered for the AFMC admissions. And for the IP ward seats in ESIC college,
there is a separate application form and admission procedure by the DGHS. One of the basic
requirements to be eligible for these seats under the ESI Act would be continuous insurable
employment for 3, 4, or 5 years, as of 1st January 2021.
After a particular candidate has qualified for the NEET 2021 and fills up the right forms of application for the counseling, the other procedural requirements will be carried out smoothly with regular updates from the authorities.
